Story:
The film revolves around Thakur Vishwajeet Singh (Milind Gunaji) and his wife Sawitri (Zarina Wahab). Everything is going fine until Vishwajeet Singh’s future son-in-law is murdered, putting the entire family under suspicion. The biggest suspicion falls on Vishwajeet Singh himself. Inspector Dev (Asrani) and Inspector Rana (Bhanwar Singh Pundir) investigate the case. As the investigation moves forward, many hidden secrets, betrayals, and stories of revenge from the family come to light. The climax has a big twist that surprises everyone.

A murder investigation reveals that one family’s dark secrets run deeper than anyone imagined. Two honest officers must uncover the truth before lies and vengeance destroy more lives.

With Uttarakhand’s beautiful locations, songs, dance, emotion, and action, this film is a complete masala entertainer.

Performances:
1. Asrani – The soul of the film. This is said to be his last film, and he shows what experience really means. His expressions and dialogue delivery are a treat to watch. He still looks powerful in a cop’s uniform.
2. Bhanwar Singh Pundir – Turns out to be the surprise package. He fits perfectly in the role of Inspector Rana. His work in serious scenes is excellent, and his pairing with Asrani is enjoyable.
3. Milind Gunaji and Zarina Wahab – Reliable as always in their roles.
4. Mushtaq Khan – Adds the flavor of comedy and makes the film lighter.

Direction:
Young director Rakesh Sawant has tried to make a complete family film by mixing thriller, drama, and comedy. He maintains a good balance between new and veteran actors. The story is simple, doesn’t bore you, and wraps up in 2 hours, which is a good thing these days.

Final Verdict:
Hum Angrezo Ke Zamane Ke Jailer Hain is a murder mystery, but it also has emotion, comedy, and drama. If you like suspense films and want to see Asrani sir on the big screen one last time, this film is worth watching.

1. Nostalgia Factor: Seeing Asrani ji in a police uniform is an emotional moment for 90s audiences. Watching his journey from ‘Sholay’s’ jailer to this jailer is a special experience.
2. Bhanwar Singh Pundir: The industry has found a new sincere cop. His body language and dialogues have power. He can make a strong name for himself in crime thrillers going forward.
3. Uttarakhand Locations: The beautiful mountain backdrop with a murder mystery makes the film visually rich. The songs are good too.
4. Where It Lacks: The first half is a bit slow. Some comedy scenes feel forced and break the thrill. The climax could have been predictable, but the twist saves it.
5. Who It’s For: If you’re expecting a hardcore thriller like ‘Drishyam’, you might be a bit disappointed. This is a light murder mystery to watch with family. It deserves 3.5 stars.

In One Line: Asrani’s final salute and Bhanwar Singh Pundir’s powerful entry – mystery with a touch of emotion.
