The opening of two new zonal offices in Southern India will enable the bank to further strengthen its high market share in this vital region. Additionally, 32 new regional offices are being opened across locations including Shimla, Amritsar, Bareilly, Mau, etc. With strengthened pan-India presence, the bank’s zonal and regional offices are envisioned to emerge as its engines of growth.
To mark the historic occasion in the 100-year history of the bank, a virtual event was held today. Prominent members of the bank’s leadership including the MD & CEO, Executive Directors, Zonal Heads, Chief General Managers and General Managers attended the event. The ceremony commenced with a virtual ribbon cutting ceremony followed by an address from Shri Rajkiran Rai G., MD & CEO, Union Bank of India. In his address, Shri. Post the address by Mr. Rai, the newly appointed Zonal Heads took pledges to demonstrate their commitment towards growing the bank. Mr. Rai also took this opportunity to launch the official Union Bank ‘Regional Heads Booklet’ as a one stop manual to comprehensively cover all roles & responsibilities of regional heads. The booklet has been created with a view to minimize disruptions for customers or employees, which remains Union Bank of India’s top priority.
