NEW YORK – August 16, 2016 – Ugam, a global leader in managed analytics, today announced that it was included in Forrester’s July 2016 report, The Insights-Driven Business, by James McCormick, Brian Hopkins and Ted Schadler. The report describes how insights-driven businesses “use data, analytics, and software in closed, continuously optimized loops to differentiate and compete.”

Forrester interviewed 48 vendor and user companies for the report, which projects that 40 public companies and a number of other insights-driven startups are on track to grow their annual revenues to $1.2 trillion by 2020. According to the report, these firms use data, analytics and software in closed, continuously optimized loops. By capturing more and better data and continuously developing and implementing insights about what drives their business, they run faster and fleeter than their competitors.

In listing one step that organizations should take toward an insights-driven future, McCormick, Hopkins and Schadler wrote, “Build the right insights partnerships — don’t go it alone. You probably won’t own all the data, expertise, or technology. We expect most companies to work with a wide variety of insights

services partners: industry specialists like Ugam or Zephyr Health, functional specialists like

FICO or FusionOps, marketing service providers like Merkle or Wunderman, insights-as-service

providers like IBM, business consultancies like Deloitte or KPMG, and business intelligence

consultancies like Opera Solutions or Saama Technologies.”

“We wholeheartedly agree with this report’s assertion that being insights-driven is a competitive differentiator that will make or break your long-term success,” said Ugam CEO Sunil Mirani. “Ugam’s mission is to serve those organizations that seek to improve their performance through data insights, particularly among retailers and brands.”
