Willingdon Golf Club as the thrilling Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Arrives in Mumbai

Turkish Airlines, flying to more countries and international destinations than any other airline, arrived in Mumbai at Willingdon Golf Club with the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup on 04th October 2019. The event was well attended by local high-profile invitees and members of the business community.

In its sixth year, the TAWGC continues to deliver the highest quality as players, all invited by the airline, will once again play at some of the finest courses in the world.

Having attended by hundred of thousands golf amateurs, Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup was played in a large number of destinations all over the world since its inception in 2013. And within this year, it again brings together over 8,000 players who compete against one another in more than 100 tournaments around the world.

The winners of this year’s tournament will qualify for the Grand Finals in Antalya in November, when they have the chance to secure a place in the Turkish Airlines Open pro-am, and will fly Business Class with Turkish Airlines.

Representing Mumbai, Teji Sabharwal, Make My Trip, Franchise Owner securing his champion position with 46 points, while Pradip M Patel, Chairman, Eimco Elecon India Ltd. was runner-up, and Khushal Thackersey, Executive Director, Hindoostan Mills came third.Ibrahim Hakki Guntay, General Manager for Turkish Airlines West and South India And Leander Paes, Indian Tennis Player

The Nearest the Pin competition on the 18 hole was won by Vinay Agarwal, Director, Cannon Shipping Co. Ltd for the men and Malvika Miskita, M.T Miskita & Co. Law Fırm for the women. Khushal Thackersey-Executive Director at Hindoostan Mills won the lowest gross score with 61.
