Mumbai, 5th July 2017: SRCC Children’s Hospital, Haji Ali Park, managed by Narayana Health, which recently began its operations will organise a free super-specialty consultation camp for children and adolescents upto 18 years of age from 10th to 15th July between 10 am to 5 pm. Paediatric Super-Specialists in heart, nerves & brain, bone & spine, cancer, stomach & liver will be available during the five day Camp.

Criticalities like cardiac or cancerous disorders which are life threatening are generally detected at the last stage as they are not detected in a routine health check-up. Few ailments such as breathing disorders and Thalassemia are inherited by children from their birth. Super specialty camps become vital for such children, as these disorders can be detected in their early stages and can be treated well in advance before they become chronic in nature.

Dr. Purna Kurkure, Medical Director, SRCC Children’s Hospital, said “Child is not a miniature adult, complex diseases requiring care has been traditionally managed by super specialists dealing with adults.  While super specialists with basic training in paediatrics handle children with a holistic approach and in a child friendly manner, are very few and work in isolation all over Mumbai metropolitan region. SRCC Children’s Hospital brings together this expertise under one umbrella to provide much needed care in a state-of-the-art facility. The camp is organised to create awareness and enable children requiring such special care in the fold of paediatric super specialists.”

Parents interested in availing this facility may call 186 0208 0208, as pre-registration is mandatory.
