Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Hon’ble Governor of, Maharashtra inaugurates ICSI National conference of Corporate Company Secretaries in Mumbai

  1. Mumbai: The Two day (4&5th January 2020) National Conference of Company Secretaries organised by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) was inaugurated at the hands of Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Hon’ble Governor of, Maharashtra in Mumbai. The theme for the Conference has been centred at ‘Governance beyond Compliance: Expanding Horizons for Company Secretaries’.

 

Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari- Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra congratulated the Institute for organising the National Conference with special emphasis on the Company Secretaries in Employment. Applauding the role played by the Company Secretaries in Indian Corporate sector, he motivated the members to realise their true potential as shapers of governance culture in the Indian corporate Diaspora.

Hon’ble Governor said, “Company Secretaries play an important role and they contribute to the growth and survival of the company.

                                                                                                                  

Sharing the intent behind the event CS Ranjeet Pandey, President ICSI said, “Each and every member of the Institute is not just a Governance Professional but a brand ambassador of the Institute. Our roles need to be realised, altered and modified with the altering dynamics of the Indian corporate sector not only to strengthen the governance framework for India Inc. but to expand the base of governance in totality. I firmly believe that the Company Secretary of tomorrow shall stand second to none and be fully equipped to serve the dynamic needs of the India Inc.” 

 

 CS Ashish Garg, Vice President, ICSI, CS Praveen Soni, Programme Director and Council Member, and CS Ashok Kumar Dixit, Officiating Secretary, ICSI were also present at the event.
