Satsang foundation Mumbai Kendra goes all out to support the underprivileged

On 10th April, Satsang foundation Mumbai Kendra distributed ration supplies to 300 families in Dongri, Lokhand bazar and Chandramani Buddha Vihar hutments near Kamathipura- Grant Road East.

This was done with support of Deputy district collector Shri Vishawas Gujar.

The deputy collector had commissioned 3 volunteers from government, 2 volunteers from Satsang Foundation and a police party for ensuring orderly distribution. The Distribution started at 3 pm and ended by 6pm.

The deputy collector said,  “In lockdown days migrants from Bengal, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand are affected. They do not have meant to get food. Government is working with NGOs to distribute food. Your effort is commendable as it will give ration to over 1000 needy people for 15 days”.

The provisions distributed by Satsang foundation volunteers endured more than 1200 people would have essential food supplies for next few days.

The foundation already has carried food distribution programs for tribal community in Kandarpada, Arey forest and for migrant labour’s in Crawford market.

In next few days they are planning to reach more poor pockets with the permissions from authorities.

During covid19 crisis, volunteers of Satsang foundation led by Sri M is active across 7 states and have reached out to more than 10,000+ individuals till now.
