Sanskar Bharti announces – Cine Talkies 2022

    FIRST OF ITS KIND conclave on the contribution of the
Bharatiya Film Industry in the unparalleled Bharatiya Freedom Struggle
Mumbai, May 6th, 2022: On the occasion of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and as part of its 75 years of Independence celebration, Sanskar Bharti in collaboration with the Academy of Theatre Arts, Mumbai University, and IGNCA announced a two-day National Seminar to be held on 13th and 14th May, 2022 at the Kalina Campus of Mumbai University.
The Seminar will have special dialogue during this event to revisit and and review the important contribution of Indian cinema in the freedom struggle of the country. The event will witness many filmmakers from different languages, cinema students, critics and film lovers from different languages collaborating on one platform. This will be a Mini Kumbh of Cinema which will represent Bharatiya Cinema in its true form.
Apart from this, more than 300 delegates from across India will be participating in this event. In short, Indian Cinema will be represented in its true glory at this event.
Along with Sanskar Bharti, Academy of Theater Arts, University of Mumbai and Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts are also participants in organizing this two-day National Seminar.
Speaking at the conference Shri Arun Shekhar, Convener CineTalkies 2022, Cinephile, actor, poet, and a man of versatile expertise said ” I’m looking forward to this exciting event. It will be a special feeling to be involved in this conference as it will be the first of its kind. The conference will bring to light the significant role Bharatiya cinema has played in the freedom movement and the tremendous support and inspiration it has provided to the freedom struggle.”
The Advisory Board of the two-day National Seminar includes Padma Bhushan Shri Janu Barua, Padma Bhushan Shri Mohan Lal, Padma Bhushan Shri Victor Banerjee, Padma Shri Mrs. Bhawana Somaaya Shri Subhash Ghai, and famous writer Vijendra Prasad.
The Chief Guest of the inaugural function will be Shri G Kishan Reddy, Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ms. Asha Parekh, a famous actress and Former Chief of the Censor Board will be the Guest of Honour for the event. The keynote address will be given by prominent director Shri Chandra Prakash Dwivedi. The Vice-Chancellor of Mumbai University will preside over the Inaugural Session. Akhil Bhartiya President of Sanskar Bharati the legendary Artist Shri Vasudev Kamat & Akhil Bharatiya General Secretary Shri Ashwin Dalvi will also be present.
During the inaugural session, an important book The Encyclopaedia on Bharatiya Cinema will also be launched along with the Cine Talkies Souvenir.
In the seminar, eminent scholars of cinema from all over the country will attend and discuss cinema in the context of 75 years of Independence. The seminar will also include well-known personalities like lyricist Manoj Muntashir, singer Ms. Durga Jasraj, film director Mr. Om Raut, music composer Mr. Anu Malik, film director Bharat Bala, popular Marathi film actor Subodh Bhave, director Mr. Paresh Mokashi, film director and historian Kamal Swarup, Kannada cinema’s well-known director Mr. MK Raghavendra, Orissa’s leading filmmaker Mr. Akshay Kumar Parija, Tamil film director Mr. Vasanth Sai, Malayalam cinema’s successful filmmaker Major Ravi, senior journalist Mr. Uday Nirgudkar, popular Gujarati cinema director Mr. Abhishek Jain and Film Historian Dr. Pradeep Kenchanoor, who will be part of this discussion.
All India Convenor of Pragya Pravah, Shri Nandkumar Ji will deliver the valedictory address. CBFC Chairman and Legendary Poet Writer Shri Prasoon Joshi will be the Chief Guest,  Famous actor and All India Vice President of Sanskar Bharti, Shri Nitish Bhardwaj Ji will preside over the closing ceremony.
Cine Talkies 2022 will be the first of its kind conclave on the contribution of the Indian Film Industry to the Indian Freedom Struggle and its depiction in cinema or movies.
