Mumbai, August 16, 2026: The Pro Govinda League (PGL), India’s premier professional human pyramid league, merged the high-octane energy of traditional sport with haute couture today in a spectacular fashion show to unveil its Season 4 team jerseys. Marking a historic first for the sport, the celebration also served as a tribute to India’s Independence Day. Sixteen team captains, alongside their franchise owners, built a breathtaking ‘Pyramid of Unity’, a powerful visual representation of strength, harmony, and the collective spirit of a nation coming together.

The highlight of the evening was a bespoke runway performance choreographed by renowned fashion choreographer Vahbiz Mehta. The ramp came alive with a perfect fusion of athleticism and style as team captains sported their official team jerseys. They were accompanied on the runway by franchise owners donning exclusive, team-inspired jackets designed by Rachit Ajmera. Moving beyond mere sportswear, each bespoke jersey serves as a canvas of cultural storytelling, intricately weaving local motifs and regional heritage to represent the diverse identities of the participating cities.

The high-profile launch was graced by PGL President Mr. Purvesh Sarnaik, esteemed league officials, Bittu Boss, and a host of sports enthusiasts and dignitaries. The glamour of the jersey reveal adds to the massive momentum building ahead of the season, bolstered by the recent announcement of Indian cricketing superstar Suryakumar Yadav as the league’s official Brand Ambassador. Fans nationwide will have front-row seats to the action, with all Season 4 matches streaming live on JioHotstar.

Over the past four seasons, the Pro Govinda League has worked towards creating a professional sporting platform inspired by Dahi Handi, while retaining its cultural roots. The league has introduced a franchise-based format, standardised rules, safety protocols and a competitive structure that gives athletes  a platform to showcase their skills and abilities.

Human pyramid building is a sport that demands unparalleled strength, immaculate balance, razor-sharp coordination, and explosive speed. Every single member in the formation plays an indispensable role in scaling the dizzying heights of the pyramid. PGL’s robust framework has not only brought unprecedented visibility to Govinda Pathaks but has also validated their athletic prowess on a national stage.

Purvesh Sarnaik, Founder, Pro Govinda League, said: “The Pro Govinda League has always been a testament to human synergy and collective effort. Every pyramid is a monument to trust, mutual support, and a shared vision. Our ‘Pyramid of Unity’ perfectly encapsulates this ethos, serving as a deeply meaningful tribute to celebrate Independence Day. As we gear up for Season 4, our vision is to catapult this magnificent sport inspired by traditions onto an even grander sporting stage, preserving the passion and community spirit that lie at its core. We are immensely proud to welcome over 3,000 elite athletes this season to demonstrate the ultimate discipline and teamwork that define our sport.”
