Behind every successful man is a woman, behind every smart girl is a doting mother, behind each sob of the child is the comforting hand of a mother. With women stepping up the Amache Mangopeople Flash Mob Act on Women Empowerment ArtiSTREE 2015 300×200 Not just a day of celebrations at ArtiSTREE, 2015corporate ladder and also handling work at home with ease, we did something different that may make their day! We at Growel’s101 felt that womanhood is to be celebrated and saluting the spirit, we celebrated the Women’s Day at Growel’s 101 Mall to honour to the women through ArtiSTREE, 2015.
The two day festivity starting 7th of March, 2015, gave the bold and the beautiful women from across the city a platform to showcase their talent in different genres, including a live jam session by DJ Space Kitten and drumming by Shiksha Bali. Well, that surely made for a thumping start to an evening full of merriment’s on the 8th of March, 2015.
First day began with the fine art exhibition where there was an exemplary display and presentation of different kinds of art by women. Kitchen is a woman’s space and she excels in the whipping up a dish or two in moments! Thus, a special activity of showcasing cooking as an art, added anew flavour to the event by giving opportunity to all the ladies to present their best cuisines, put up a food stall and share their favourite recipes with the customers. Towering heels and fashionably forward stepped on the ramp to make heads turn, and women across age participated in the colourful do. Those who shied away from the ramp had ruled the hearts of the audience by putting up amazing performances via skits, musical do or even various dance forms via Queen of Performance.
A plethora of activities kept the ladies busy and their friends, husbands, kids and families marveled at the discovery of the skill sets the beautiful participants showcased. There was something for everyone and perhaps that’s how it is supposed to be .AmacheMangopeople performed and Flash Mob on Women Empowerment was staged inside the mall premises to highlight the need of the hour for gender equality and other sensitive issues in wake of the ubiquitous incidents of rape across the globe! The event drew curtain on the 2 day celebrations with the Guest of honour, Ms.Ms. S. Nate (Police Inspector, Samta Nagar), Mrs.ManpreetSandhu – (COD Commandants wife Mr.AmitSandhu), Mrs.RafiaSulthana – (Admin Head COD), RJ RangleeRuchi – FVR FM, Ms.PurvaMantri – (Singer/performer – BalikaVadhu, Shows for Vishal Dadlani&Growels Idol), Dr.Kasbekar – (MBBS – Thakur Complex), Ms.Charkarborthy (Principal Thakur College – Science and commerce)felicitated each of the participants keeping the spirit of everyone is a winner alive!
