Nissan joins forces with Amazon miniTV for its dance reality show ‘Hip Hop India’ with world record-breaking dance formation

Mumbai, July 23, 2023: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) and Amazon miniTV, the free video streaming service from Amazon, have achieved a groundbreaking milestone by teaming up for the dance reality show ‘Hip Hop India,’ where they broke the Guinness World Record for the largest on-ground hip-hop dance activity. This extraordinary feat was accomplished when 1870 dancers united to deliver an electrifying hip-hop performance that lasted over 5 minutes. The grand event was held at Filmcity in Mumbai in the presence of Hip Hop India’s judges Remo D’Souza and Nora Fatehi, alongside Girish Prabhu – Head of Amazon Advertising and Mr. Mohan Wilson, Director – Marketing, Product & Customer Experience, Nissan Motors India Pvt Ltd who flagged off this event. Special partners for the event, ‘ToTheCulture’ and dancing crew ‘Kings United’, brought together the enthusiastic crowd of 1870 dancers and choreographed the performance, culminating into this momentous feat.

The momentous event took place at Filmcity in Mumbai and was graced by esteemed judges Remo D’Souza and Nora Fatehi‘Hip Hop India’ stands as India’s first and largest reality dance show solely dedicated to celebrating the vibrant and dynamic dance form of Hip Hop. Contestants showcase their exceptional talent through solo, duo, and group performances, all competing for the coveted title of ultimate hip-hop champions.

The Guinness World Records official adjudicators proudly declared the record-breaking moment, and the stadium reverberated with enthusiastic applause to commemorate this historic achievement. Surpassing the previous record set in 2014 by 1658 dancers in Alabama, USA, the combined efforts of 1870 dancers in ‘Hip Hop India’ secured a global record. This remarkable feat perfectly coincided with the show’s launch on Amazon miniTV, providing viewers across India the wonderful opportunity to witness the grand celebration of hip-hop culture, all free of charge!
