Mumbai, 21st March 2023: India’s leading commercial electric vehicle maker Altigreen today inaugurated its second retail experience centre in Mumbai – in Kurla. This is the company’s twenty-sixth (26th) retail dealership in India, following the launches in major metros like Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Bangalore.
Much like Altigreen’s experience centres in other cities, this new dealership in Mumbai will allow EV enthusiasts to access Altigreen’s range of electric cargo vehicles. Altigreen has partnered with Fortpoint Automotive Private Limited (FAPL) – one of Mumbai’s most illustrated automotive retail companies.
Fortpoint Automotive Private Limited (FAPL) is a well-established company in the automotive retail space having a pan-India presence. The company has representation in all three segments of the automobile industry – two-wheelers, four-wheelers and high commercial vehicles with brands such as Kawasaki, Maruti Udyog Pvt Ltd., to name a few. The company has showrooms and workshops across 12 locations in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Fortpoint is credited with being the first to start the 24-hour workshop at its Andheri branch to serve its huge customer base. Over the years, Fortpoint has earned a solid reputation as a premier automotive retailer, catering to a wide-ranging customer base with its superior product offerings and customer-centric approach.
Altigreen Retail Experience Centre was launched in the hands of Karan Tacker – Actor as the chief guest.
With the launch of this retail dealership, Altigreen is focusing on providing its consumers with an enhanced and never-seen-before experience with world-class and modern infrastructure. Every element of the dealership has been designed to lend a welcoming feel especially to consumers walking in out of curiosity. Altigreen has left no stone unturned to ensure the dealership reflects the company’s ethos of respect, empathy, and gaining the trust of consumers through transparent dialogue.
Dr Amitabh Saran, Founder and CEO, Altigreen, said, “We are elated to partner with Fortpoint Automotive Private Limited, for our second retail experience centre in Mumbai. With their decades of experience in the automobile business, Fortpoint will help us in strengthening our reach across the megacity. Altigreen will continue to offer the best-suited EVs for Indian cargo and passenger mobility needs.”
Currently, the intra-city movement of goods in cold chain transportation is carried out primarily through 4-wheeler SCVs having upto2.5ton GVW, and 3-wheelers. The desired temperature range for such vehicles is 0 to 4 degree Celsius, with a minimum volumetric capacity (internal) of 100 cu ft for 3-wheelers. The cooling on refrigerated vehicles is done actively through the AC/refrigerator unit, and passively through the thermal insulation material. The segments that require cold chain transportation on a mass scale are those that transport perishable goods such as Bakery & Confectionery, Meats, Seafood, and Beverages, Dairy, FMCG and Pharmaceuticals. With the launch of this new retail experience centre, Altigreen aims to cater to the segment of goods transportation that require cold chain logistics. The business team is working on integrating a refrigerated container on neEV 3-wheeler on a pilot basis.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sundeep Kumar Bafna, Managing Director, Fortpoint Automotive Private Limited, said, “We are excited to do our bit in helping businesses in Maharashtra transition to electric mobility. We are aligned with the recent E-mobility trends and already see a massive potential driven by the nation’s agenda of electrification. We are extremely happy to be able to introduce eco-friendly mobility and a sustainable future into our business fabric. We are very proud to partner with Altigreen in Mumbai and support them in their mission of accelerating carbon-free transport while making it accessible and affordable.”
Altigreen recently completed ten years of formation, playing a pioneering role in the EV space in the country. The company is constantly ramping up its capabilities through innovation and has aggressive expansion plans to widen its pan-India presence and cater to the rising demand. Altigreen’s product offering stands on four strong pillars: longest range, largest volumetric capacity, highest ground clearance, and greatest torque.
The company’s commercial electric 3W offering neEV recently achieved the feat of completing 150+ kms intercity drive between two iconic places of Karnataka, i.e. Mysore Palace and Bangalore Palace, on a single charge in about six hours. In addition, the company recently announced a partnership to launch the fastest-charged 3-wheeler while offering over 100 chargers in Bengaluru itself.
