Mamata Banerjee Pays Tribute to Singer KK at Kolkata Airport

The iconic 53-year-old singer KK was among the most versatile playback singers in the country. Singer KK’s full name is Krishnakumar Kunath, KK has been the lead singer of films in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, and Gujarati languages.KK died in Kolkata on May 31 at the age of 53. His sudden demise has left the music and film industry in a state of shock. KK was performing at Nazrul Mancha for Gurudas College’s fest after which he reportedly fell ill and returned to his hotel. When his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to the hospital where the doctors reportedly declared him dead on arrival. The singer’s body will be taken to the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and handed over to his family, who will fly to Mumbai.

 

His first album ‘Pal’ came out in 1999. He soon sang for several films and delivered chart-busting numbers. Singer KK started his Bollywood career with Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Ajay Devgn-starrer Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He gained accolades for his heartbreaking yet soulful voice in the hit track Tadap Tadap and since then, there was no looking back for him. The man with the golden voice will be remembered for his songs like ‘Pyaar Ke Pal’, ‘Yaaron’, ‘O Meri Jaan’, ‘Khuda Jaane’, ‘Zara Sa’, ‘Dil Ibaadat’, love anthem ‘Pehla Pela Pyaar’, ‘Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana’ among others.

The hollow created by some people’s accidental departure is never filled, this is needed in the head more and more. Celebrated life with KK songs in school and college in those days. The feeling of separation from school friends in the tenth standard was supported by Keke’s song 
We have seen so many crying a lot when friends break up in college, especially when KK’s song comes on the radio those days. KK said ‘Yaro, friendship Badi hi Hasin hey’ to the friends who came out of this breakup.
 
Most of his fans are still not able to believe that famous singer KK got attacked at a live music show in Kolkata! This unexpected demise has caused an irreparable loss to the music industry. 
 
Expressing condolences, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said KK’s “songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups”.
