Mumbai: 17 years ago, the attacks of 26/11, which shook iconic locations such as CST, Leopold Café, Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, and Trident Hotel, remain etched in the memory of every Indian. The city’s heartbeat slowed that night, but the courage of the security forces brought hope amid despair. Maharashtra Police Boys Association, in collaboration with the Police Boys Charitable Trust, came together at the Gateway of India to honor the brave martyrs of the 26/11 terror attacks. The atmosphere was filled with emotion as families of the fallen heroes, police personnel, and hundreds of college students gathered to remember the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of those who protected the city.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Dr. Bu Abdullah, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, and Chairman of the Bu Abdullah Group of Companies, DCP Pravin Mundhe, singer Siddharth Koli, and Rahul Arjunrao Dubale, Founder and President of the Maharashtra Police Boys Association. Together, they came forward to honour and pay homage to the martyrs.

“The terrorists tried to shake Mumbai with their brutal attacks, but they could never break the soul of this city. Today, we bow our heads to the brave men who gave their lives to shield us from harm. Our association has stood firm in honouring both police officers and citizens who showed extraordinary courage on 26/11. This year, our tributes will echo across 33 districts, ending with a torch rally at the Gateway of India to remind everyone of the everyday sacrifices made by our force. We also deeply thank Dr. Bu Abdullah for his generous donation of an ambulance, which will bring hope, save lives, and serve the city,” said Rahul Arjunrao Dubale, Founder and President of the Maharashtra Police Boys Association.

Dr. Bu Abdullah, Entrepreneur & Philanthropist, and Chairman of Bu Abdullah Group of Companies, said, “I remember and pray for every innocent life lost on that tragic day, and my heart goes out to their families. I offer my deepest gratitude to the Maharashtra Police for their courage and sacrifice. My respect and love for them is endless. It gives me great pride to donate and inaugurate a well-equipped ambulance for the Maharashtra Police Boys Association, strengthening emergency care for the people of Mumbai. Through this gesture, we carry forward the martyrs’ legacy by helping save lives and supporting the city they protected.”

On the 17th anniversary, Mumbai once again bowed its head in remembrance, saluting the heroes who fought for every life, every corner, and every heartbeat of the city. Their sacrifice continues to inspire generations.
