M2M Ferries and CFTI Collaborated to Distribute 80 Bicycles to Empower Young Girls in Mandwa

India, Mumbai, May 2023: M2M Ferries, a leading Ro-Pax company, had collaborated with CFTI, an NGO, to launch an initiative aimed at empowering school going girls in Mandwa. As part of the initiative, M2M Ferries had distributed 80 bicycles to help them overcome transportation challenges.

Transportation remains a major challenge for many children, especially girls, in remote and rural areas of Mandwa. Often, having to walk long distances to reach their schools, which can be exhausting, time-consuming and unsafe. Which has led to many girls dropping out of school or missing classes, ultimately affecting their education and future prospects.

To address this issue, M2M Ferries and CFTI had launched a campaign to distribute bicycles to school going girls in Mandwa. The bicycles were distributed to school girls, who face transportation difficulties in reaching their schools. The bicycle distribution is aimed at creating a safe, comfortable and affordable mode of transportation for the young girls between their home’s and schools thereby reducing dropout rates and helping them achieve their educational goals.

The campaign was held on 10th May and the bicycles were distributed to school going girls in various communities in Mandwa.
