A SciFi young adult researched fiction, called the Dimensions Series, “Father of the Gods” makes him one of the rare Indian teenagers to have written and published a book that is a combination of Mythology, Ancient History and High Levels of Mathematics and Quantum Physics with fertile imagination, bringing together a thriller that jumps across continents.
The two main characters in ‘Father of the Gods – Dimensions Book One’, 17 year old orphans Ram and Mathias, are on an adventure to uncover the secret behind the ultimate savior of mankind. A saviour whom everybody has heard of in every mythology and culture, but nobody is aware of? The question remains, “Who is the Father of Gods?” The quest takes them from London to India to the streets of Japan and Europe, encountering humans from other dimensions identical to our own. In the book, there are also references to an even more esoteric world, that all these advanced dimensions also feel scared of. These portions in the book are laced with interesting interludes. Further, while the first book of this series ends in a cliffhanger after the momentous discovery it was building up towards, the book ends, but the story does not. The Father of the Gods is found, but the quest of the boys for their own fathers continues. It also raises many more questions which will be addressed in later volumes.
Speaking of his book, the young Abhishek said, “Right from childhood I have been curious about our existence, our role in the larger scheme of things, the concept of God and even the small things around us that we encounter in day-to-day life. This inquisitiveness led me to read and travel a lot, something my really supportive parents have also encouraged a lot. I have been able to travel across 23 countries across 4 continents and visit a large proportion of ancient monuments, museums and the streets of large cities of the world. Over time, I developed an enormous appetite for and a keen interest in subjects such as Astro and Quantum Physics, Mathematics, Mythology, History, Art, amongst others.
“’Father of the Gods’ came to me when I was 12. The location of the orphanage and where it all starts, crystallized soon after one such visit to London and a particular observation. This led to a question setting my grey cells bursting with excitement. Is God really a celestial entity who is omnipresent and has the power to control all things or is God simply another civilization? I have tried my best to explore a factual and honest answer to this question, yet tell it in an interesting and simple way for all to enjoy. The two young protagonists flee from their orphanage in London in search of their fathers and get dragged into a quest for the Father of the Gods across Japan, India and Europe battling aliens from other dimensions and discovering ancient secrets.
“I was very excited when Amish Tripathi Sir agreed to read my book and share his views and his extremely positive feedback. I have written this book with all my heart and I am really grateful to my parents for supporting me in all phases of my life,” added Abhishek.
Popular Bollywood director, Vishal Bhardwaj, set the tone at a specially coordinated launch where he commended Abhishek on his achievement, through a video message which was played out at the launch. The book has been published by Quills Ink and before making its way to India, was also launched in Chicago in USA, and Brampton, and Toronto in Canada where it has already gained significant momentum and positive reviews. Copies of the book are now available in India, both online as well as in selected stores.
