Premium sunglass brand Maui Jim is upping its style quotient with the launch of the brand’s first blue flash mirror lens, Blue Hawaii, aimed specifically at fashion lovers who love to flaunt stylish eyewear without compromising on UV protection.

Developed as a fashionable option for top-selling styles, Maui Jim’s new Blue Hawaii lens provides a stylish new look that offers the same amazing color enhancement and clarity as all other Maui Jim lenses. A blue flash mirror coating is applied to the outside surface of each PolarizedPlus2™ lens, which reduces the amount of light that passes through, eliminates glare, and boosts color.

The Blue Hawaii Collection includes four best selling aviator styles: Baby Beach, Cliff House, Mavericks and Wiki Wiki outfitted with lightweight MauiPure® lenses.  In addition, two new fashion focused styles are available in nylon frames with SuperThin Glass lenses: Leia and Sweet Leilani.

“Blue mirrored lens are liked by many sunglass lovers for the chic and differently stylish look they give. Blue Hawaii was created to capitalize on recent fashion trends in the marketplace, but done with a premium, polarized Maui Jim lens. This means the sunglasses are high on style quotient but do not compromise on protection from UV radiation and glare. Blue Hawaii is targeted toward Maui Jim’s modern and stylish consumers,” says Mr. I Rahumathullah, Managing Director, Maui Jim India.

The Blue Hawaii lenses are created using a Neutral Grey PolarizedPlus2 color enhancing lens. A blue flash mirror coating is then applied to create the new look.

Born on the beaches of Maui and designed to protect eyes from the harsh rays of the sun, Maui Jim sunglasses enhance color, definition and depth perception. PolarizedPlus2® lenses wipe out 99.9 percent of glare, manage 95 percent of HEV and block 100 percent of harmful UV while boosting color to unmatched levels. Maui Jim’s optically correct, distortion-free lenses feature patented lens treatments or rare earth elements. So instead of dimming the light, color and clarity are enhanced using natural light.
