While the hospitality industry saw many casualties like hotels closing down Mr. Tamboli used his business acumen and financial knowledge to save his company from closing and protect the jobs of his staff

 

Mumbai, India, August 26, 2022: CA Sameer Tamboli, Director of Finance, Hotel Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC is a very prominent name in the Hospitality Industry. He has 15 Years of rich Experience in the Finance & Accounts department of the Hospitality Sector. He plays a crucial role and gives input and influence on the company’s important financial decisions that have a strong hand in determining the health of the company. He also looks into the day-to-day operations of the finance department and manages financial reporting. His role is to monitor the accounting and finance departments’ policies and procedures, set budgets, provide guidance on complex tax and compliance issues, and contribute to the financial strategy discussions with In-depth knowledge of the entire finance function, he steers the company into doing good business.

After becoming a Chartered Accountant, Sameer Tamboli started his career with Le Royal Meridian, Mumbai / Hilton Mumbai (Owner BD & P Hotels (India) Pvt Ltd) as a Manager – Accounts / Senior Manager – Accounts, with additional responsibilities of Le Meridian Ahmedabad, Bica Lounge at Chennai Airport and Ahmedabad Airport from July 2007 to May 2018 and from May 2018 joined Pre-opening team of Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC and Radisson Resort & Spa Lonavala as a Financial Controller (Cluster) and also responsible for all statutory compliances. Mr. Tamboli has been working with Radisson Hotel Group as Financial Controller since May 2018.

In the year 2019, Mr. Tamboli had been awarded ” Best Financial Controller ” In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments & individual excellence in the field of hospitality sector at the 3rd Hospitality India & Explore the world North & West Travel Awards – 2019 at Hotel THE FERN Mumbai.

During the Pandemic, he made different strategies, and cut costs, and with his smart financial management, he was able to minimise the financial impact of the Pandemic and he did not lay off any staff, thus saving their livelihood.  

His hard work and dedication to the company and extra working hours were considered and he was been promoted to Director of Finance.

Recently he received a long service Award on the occasion of the 4th Anniversary of Hotel Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC

Skilled in Budgeting, MIS, Food & Beverage, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, and Accounting. His expertise in Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting, Consolidation and Reporting, Budgeting, Strategic Planning, Controllership, Revenue Management, Cost Control, Audits, Internal control, and Risk Management, Order to Cash Process, Procure to Pay Process, General Ledger, Asset and Payroll accounting. Treasury and Cash flow forecasting, Working capital management.

Sameer Tamboli has a Professional Degree Certificate of Chartered Accountancy (CA) (Year – Nov 2003) from the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India, New Delhi, India, and a Bachelor’s degree of Commerce (B.com) (Year – Mar 1998) from Ismail Yusuf College, Mumbai University, India.
