Greenwood High come forward to help earthquake victims

In an effort to help the victims of the recent Earthquake, Greenwood High International School has come forward to provide relief material for the survivors of a massive earthquake that has hit the Himalayan nation leaving it in tatters. The donated sum will be used to supply large quantities of relief materials and immediate needs which include blankets, beddings and plastic sheets, dry food packets of poha, rice, dal, biscuits, water, clothes for women and children, first aid supplies etc.

The school staff will personally visit the affected areas at Indo-Nepal border and will ensure the relief materials reaches to the needy.

DIG B K Pal, of Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB), Siliguri, West Bengal along with his team would ensure the distribution to all the needy. SSB (www. ssb.nic.in), is one of India’s reputed task force under the MHA. They have an excellent reputation and equity in all Border States to support the welfare of the citizens.

“Tragedy can strike anybody any time, at such instances we must rise to the occasion and support in whatever way we can. Greenwood High has always been active in contributing to the society in any way they can. The school children have also been involved in this cause so that they get to learn the spirit of unity, humanity and helping the needy.
