Malad festival envisions creating annual phenomena and a platform for the local residents consisting of so many diverse culture, instilling in them a sense of pride and aspiration. The concluding day of “Malad Festival 2015” saw the entire cast and crew of Chatpati Bua Ka Swayamvar, where the entire cast was present to mark the launch of the play .
The evening also had live performances by The Voice India fame Jyotica Tangri & Sahil Solanki who depicted different emotions through their songs with an amalgamation of melody and feel. The evening was high on its musical richness, its subtlety and its uncanny ability to reach deep within the hearts.
The last day of “Malad Festival” saw the attendance of Upsana Singh, Gurpreet kaur chadha ,Avesh Dadlani , Shweta Khanduri, Deepak Raja, Raja Saggu, Rana Jung Bhadur, Banwari Lal Jhol, Rajiv Nigam, Surinder Musical Group, Pankaj Dutt, Ram Kiran Chopra, etc
Malad Festival had everything from music, theatre, film, dance, sport, food, heritage to art and poetry. The festival successfully showcased the cultural wealth of the area also along with bringing together various communities.
Tajinder Singh Tiwana says “This year’s Malad Festival is coming to an end. The response was outstanding. We had people pouring in everyday to enjoy the festival; it was a 10 days celebration of different communities. I am overwhelmed that the purpose of the festivalto meet each other and get to know the neighborhood of Malad was not just appreciated but celebrated as well”
