Evelyn Sharma walks for Kolkata Designer Jyoti Sachdev Iyer in Delhi at Shaan-e-Pakistan

Designer Jyoti Sachdev Iyer launched her latest collection ‘Audacieux’ in Delhi supporting a cause ‘Seams For Deams’ with beautiful Evelyn Sharma at Shaan-e-Pakistan.  The sizzling Evelyn Sharma also graced the ramp in the showstopper dress.

‘Audacieux’ is French for bold, a collection with bold and edgy silhouettes. The dainty diva recently launched her NGO ‘Seams for Dreams’ which she expresses as, “the universal love for fashion.” The NGO focuses on getting together fashionistas and their support for humanitarian purposes.

Evelyn says, “I am happy to be a part of this nobel event that beautifully binds two nations. I really admire the collection. I like the fact that the designs are bold and for today’s woman.”

Shaan-E-Pakistan 2015 powered by Braahtii, a platform for the Indian and Pakistani designers to showcase their products to the Delhi market.

This 3 day mega event focuses on showcasing the culture & products by renowned Indo-Pak couturiers. This first-of-its-kind showcase aims to bring together talented designers and artisans from both sides of the border.

Designer Jyoti Sachdev Iyer’s line of designs comprised a range of interesting Indian wear combining western silhouettes with Indian fabrics and embellishments. The fabrics used are georgettes, chanderis, slub chanderi and stretched lycra. The western line comprised drapes in stretch fabrics. Something to really look forward to in this fascinating collections were the denim and lace saris with crop tops. The overall collection flaunts a blend of textures and chic ideas. It is for the woman who is bold and beautiful.

“I was anxious and excited to showcase my collection in Delhi for the first time. All my designs have traditional Indian roots and bold cuts. I hope my bold and edgy collection is appreciated.” says talented designer Jyoti Sachdev Iyer.

The designs are a beautiful marriage of contemporary inspirations and traditional asthetics. You can see anarkalis, chudidars, saris and other ethnic designs brought out in a modern approach. Traditional motifs over a stylish canvas make all her designs pop! It is a visual fiesta of well sorted designs. Everything about this collection from fabrics to cuts to embellishments exudes boldness.
