(Macao, June 28, 2016) – Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao hosted a preview of the nightly Parisian Macao Eiffel Tower light and sound spectacular, before the upcoming opening of the new resort in mid-September. The event held on Thursday night was an opportunity for invited guests to see firsthand the spectacular light show that will feature on the façade of the Eiffel Tower. The Parisian Macao was inspired by the famed “City of Lights” Paris, and when it opens, the new resort will offer guests a stunning array of accommodation, dining, shopping and entertainment facilities.

“Sands China is dedicated to giving our guests and visitors unforgettable and extraordinary experiences – The Parisian Macao will do just that,” said Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd., who officiated at the event. “As Macao moves toward diversifying its tourism industry, The Parisian Macao and its iconic Eiffel Tower will provide visitors with a new variety of non-gaming and family-friendly attractions. And as Macao continues its development as a world centre of tourism and leisure, Sands China is pleased to contribute to that development with our integrated resort city on Cotai.”

The lightshow of the Eiffel Tower at The Parisian Macao will be a shimmering beacon on the Cotai Strip lighting up nightly at dusk when the resort opens and will provide an ideal backdrop for photo opportunity for visitors and guests alike.

Made of steel, the half-scale authentic recreation of Eiffel Tower at The Parisian Macao includes more than 6,600 light bulbs and 26 kilometres of electrical cabling, equivalent to 10 times the length of Governador Norbre de Carvalho bridge. After the official launch of The Parisian Macao in September, visitors will be able to take two elevators to the top observation deck of the tower which will take approximately 40 seconds.

Offering everything you have come to expect from Sands China’s resorts – and more, The Parisian Macao will have a full array of integrated facilities including approximately 3,000 guestrooms and suites; more than 150 boutiques with the latest in luxury fashion designers, couture and lifestyle brands; daily entertainment from French themed Streetmosphere characters to an eclectic mix of street artists, mimes, and buskers; an abundance of magnificent dining options; as well as world class theatrical and entertainment shows in the purpose built 1,200-seat Parisian Theatre.
