This festive season Designer Ritu Seksaria wants to bring joy in the lives of the street kids with her initiative SHOP FOR SMILES’ in collaboration with NEEV Foundation. It is an exhibition and sale event for a noble cause, which takes off from 5th November – 30th November 2015. The event is a preview to showcase the freshest collections by seasoned as well as upcoming designers at Ritu’s multi-designer store Vyoum.

Talking about her experience Ritu Seksaria mentions, “I am happy about this event and it takes me back to the time when I used to be associated with an NGO. Life got busy and it became difficult to do something noble. But, now I would like to do by bit for the people who deserve happiness. It takes little acts of kindness to spread joy.”

There are a large number of kids in India who live on the footpaths. Many streets in India are an abode to 400,000 – 800,000 children, who are homeless and helpless. They witness a life full of struggle at such tender age. They strive to get through every passing day with eyes filled with hope. These children are deprived of basic necessities like food, education and health. This is where the initiative NEEV comes into picture. They aim at providing opportunities and essentials to children who live on the streets.

Designer Ritu Seksaria is the proprietor of the store Vyoum, which is the perfect stop for designer clothing as well as high-end fashion accessories. Known for her eclectic bridal designs, Ritu also creates customized bridal couture for the bride and her entourage. This multi-designer store is a platform for various other designers to exhibit their work in its full glory.

Ritu Seksaria wants to blend fashion with compassion with her upcoming event ‘Shop for Smiles’. The thought is simple, you buy her beautiful designs and in return you pay for a cause. Ritu will contribute a chunk of her earnings to NEEV to bring happiness to the street kids. She is doing her bit to make a difference. With the festive season around, show your support to help these less-privileged children by shopping for smiles.
