Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar inaugurates the office premises of IT Hub at Altinho Panaji

Panaji, June, 2016: The newly constructed office premise of the IT Hub was inaugurated today at the hands of Chief Minister Shri. Laxmikant Parsekar. The ceremony was held in the presence of Shri. Subhash U. Phal Dessai, Honourable MLA Sanguem Constituency and Chairman of Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd, Shri. Sidharth Kuncalienkar, Honourable MLA Panaji Constituency and Vice Chairman GSIDC, Shri. R.K. Srivastava, IAS Chief Secretary, Government of Goa, Shri Surendra Furtado, Mayor, Corporation of the City of Panaji, Shri. Ameya Abhyankar,IAS Director IT, Department of Information Technology, Shri. Sajit Rodrigues, Managing Director GSIDC, Shri Nilesh Fal Dessai, MD,ITG, Shri. Pundalik Dessai, Corporator, CCP, other dignitaries and invitees.

Spread over an area of 3530 mts in Altinho the office premises of the IT Hub includes a ground floor with spacious parking arrangement for cars and two wheelers and other required facilities. The first floor of the building consists of rooms which will house the offices of Goa Broadband Network (GBBN), Independent Data Centre (IDC) and State Data Centre (SDC).Second and third floor of the building consists of areas for facilities pertaining to Directorate of Information Technology and Infotech Corporation of Goa Ltd. The building also has a dedicated space on the roof terrace for solar panels, mechanical utility services, dish antennas and other IT related services.

The building is designed as per Indian Green Building norms and registered under GRIHA.
Energy efficient materials such as fly-ash bricks, double glazed unit for external façade, LED internal lights, solar powered street lights, low flow fixtures for reducing excess water, rainwater harvesting tank to reduce rainwater run-off in the surrounding etc. have been incorporated

Other facilities include separate areas for transformers and fire fighting equipment, underground and overhead water tank, lift for staff, visitors and public.
