Buoyed by overwhelming demand in West region, Honda records 50% sales growth YoY in Akshaya Tritiya

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), started the FY’2015-16 with a record-breaking sales performance during the auspicious Akshaya Tritiya day.

Customer demand remained bullish for two-wheelers. With retails growing a massive over 60%, the West region led the all India retail tally on Akshaya Tritiya.

Honda’s retail sales breached the 41,000 mark on the day, with a growth of 50% over last year retails. At the same time overall Dream series (comprising of Dream Yuga, Dream NEO and CD 110 Dream) witnessed spectacular 55% rise in sales.

Elaborating on the sales, Mr. Yadvinder S. Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., “While we had the reports on muted sentiment towards gold-buying, it has been a great revelation of trust & confidence in brand Honda seeing the swelling walk-ins at our network and overall conversions into retails. The 50% increase in sales during akshaya tritiya is a significant jump, and even surpassed all our expectations. This, yet again reinforces trust that customer repose in Honda.”
