BASE students create new record in Karnataka CET 2016

Bangalore, May 28, 2016: As always, BASE students have once again put up an impressive show in the CET examinations. This year 7 students figure in the top 10 ranks in Engineering, a record. In Medical, two students have bagged ranks in the TOP 10.

Milind Kumar Vaddiraju is the topper of the CET examination 2016 in Engineering. Divya A. Jamakhandi (Rank 3), Rahul R (Rank 4), Vignesh S (Rank 5), Sourabh Bharadwaj B M (Rank 7), Channakeshava (Rank 8), Deeparaj Bhat (Rank 10) are the others who have made it to the top 10.

Sanjay N Goudar and Vachanashree scored Rank 2 and Rank 3 respectively in CET Medical.

A total of 23 BASE students have made it to the Top 100 in CET Engineering and 12 students in CET Medicine. This number could go up as results come in.

“After a harrowing journey of two years and looking back, my best choice has been joining BASE. Despite several hurdles, BASE has supported me in many ways- from giving me room to grow, the skill and the know-how to do so. I thank them for giving me the exposure to set myself a goal worth achieving”, said Milind Kumar Vaddiraju, Rank 1 engineering, CET examination 2016.

From the Tapas batch (‘TAPAS’ is a free residential program for economically challenged students initiated in 2012 by Rashtrotthana Parishat and BASE is a pioneering initiative in the field of education), 1 student figures in the Top 100 ranks and a total of 15 students out of 34 are in the Top 1000 Engineering ranks. Many of them are also expected to qualify in JEE Advanced exam.
