Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai in association with IMA conduct a scientific session on Adult Vaccination

Navi Mumbai, 19 July 2022:- Apollo Hospitals, in association with Indian Medical Association (IMA), Navi Mumbai organised a scientific session on “Adult Vaccination”. This continuing medical education (CME) session brought together over 100 General Practitioners.

Adult vaccination is an unaddressed area of health. But 25% of mortality occurs due to Infectious diseases. Hence, vaccination is recommended for everyone. It is for prevention of chronic illnesses, reduction of transmission of acute viral illnesses, and reduction in severity of illness in high-risk population, thereby decreasing morbidity and mortality.

Dr. Jayalakshmi TK, Consultant, Pulmonology, Dr. Mini Nampoothiri, Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Bharat Agarwal, Consultant, Internal Medicine, Dr. Vaishali Lokhande, Consultant, Internal Medicine, and Dr. Anand Misra, Consultant, Internal Medicine delivered their sessions providing a comprehensive overview of adult vaccination. “Importance of adult vaccination benefits and ascertains efficacy of vaccination,” Dr. Anand Misra, Consultant, Internal Medicine, Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai said. “Understanding hepatitis A & B prevention, vaccination, & treatment where we stand today need further work against hepatitis C & E,” Dr. Bharat Agarwal, Consultant, Internal Medicine, Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai said.
