A scientific gathering of experts from the analysis, laboratory and biotechnology industry was seen at analytica Anacon India 2015 and India Lab Expo 2015, at the Hitex Exhibition Center in Hyderabad, which was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Akun Sabharwal, Controller of Drugs, State of Telangana who was the Chief Guest. The trade fairs also saw the presence of key dignitaries like Mr. K V Venugopalan, President, Indian Analytical Instruments Association, Mr. Rajkumar Agrawal, Chairman- International Trade Committee, The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Mr. Y Vidyasagar, Vice-President- Andhra Pradesh Chapter, The Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises.

This year, the two trade fairs together feature more than 250 exhibitors spread across 10,000 square meters exhibition space. Analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo saw the support of associations like Indian Analytical Instruments Association, Indian Chemical Council, The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association, Confederation of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry, Indian Chemical Council, Oil Technologists’ Association of India and SPECTARIS- German Hightech Industry Association who provided details regarding policies that are associated with the industry and how these policies will help to promote India as a potential market.

Another highlight of the trade fairs was the innovative Buyer-Seller meets that was highly appreciated by the participants. Decision makers from the customer community actively participated in these meetings, which led to creation of active business leads in many cases. The trade fairs hosted conferences and workshops which highlighted “Research & Regulations: Challenges for the Pharmaceutical Industry” that touched upon topics like regulatory aspects and analytical technologies in clinical diagnosis. Furthermore, there was a conference on food safety that played a crucial role in this year’s program which focused on the latest testing equipment and the according laboratory technology. They also scheduled a workshop on “How to setup a Laboratory” which highlights the necessary needs to start one’s own laboratory business in India. The trade fairs saw esteemed speakers from across the globe that came on this common platform to share their views on the challenges faced by the industry.
