The exhibition was inaugurated by Shri Suvendu Adhikari, Honourable Minister of Transport and Shri Jogen Chowdhury renowned artist and Member of Parliament.

This was the first of its kind art exhibition in Kolkata which will touch peoples’ nerves:
Honking has become a menace these days. Drivers honk continuously with/without reasons. Continuous honking badly affects our physical health as well as environmental health. Somehow, drivers do not realize this when they honk. Education on adverse effect of honking is necessary. To create awareness about adverse effects of honking, this drive is thought off.
We all are suffering from this issue but we don’t care about it because we have adapted to the situation. We are the reason for this issue. It has become common to honk in a traffic jam, at mid-night, at hospitals / schools etc. People do this because honking is deeply rooted in their subconscious minds. The Exhibition, curated by Sachin Kaluskar, showcased 21 paintings giving subliminal message to viewers’ subconscious minds. Art is the most powerful tool of visual communication; these “creative” paintings have power to shake/awaken viewers without hurting their EGO.

Being one of the best shopping and entertainment destination, we believe in promoting causes which require immediate attention. We have always favoured the artistic route to do this and are happy to contribute to raising public consciousness wherever we can.
A Shopping Mall is the most successful and adaptable machine for consumption the world has ever seen. In ancient days, there used to be weekly melas, village fairs, weekly subzi mandis, and exhibitions. The core principle remains the same but there has been one thing changing and that is ENHANCED SHOPPING EXPERIENCE.
Malls therefore have become important ingredient in the social fabric in the life of today’s citizens. Malls create a lot of social values for the citizen, creates aspirations amongst people thereby driving the young population to do something better in life.”
