MAHARASHTRA TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LAUNCHES SPECIAL NAGPUR DARSHAN CITY TOUR

nagpur_banner-1 Mumbai, 15th December, 2016: Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has announced the launch of its special Nagpur Darshan City Tours starting from 15th December, 2016. The Nagpur Darshan City Tour will spin across key heritage spots and important places of Nagpur in a comfortable bus. The Nagpur Darshan Tour will be inaugurated by Shri. Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister; Shri. Jaykumar Jitendrasinh Rawal, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra; Shri Madan Yerawar, State Tourism Minister, Government of Maharashtra; Smt. Valsa Nair-Singh IAS, Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture, Government of Maharashtra along with Dr. K.H. Govinda Raj IAS, Managing Director, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation; Shri. Satish Soni, Joint Managing Director of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation; Smt. Swati Kale, General Manager of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation and Shri Hanumant K. Hede, Sr. Regional Manager Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, Nagpur on 15th December 2016.

The Nagpur Darshan Tour will be divided in two tours, with different pick up and drop points, covering all the iconic places of Nagpur and giving a glimpse of the Maximum City. The Tour 1 will begin in the morning from 9:00 am and will end at 1:20 pm, the Nagpur MTDC office will be the pickup point and will proceed covering main attractions of the city like Zero Mile, Ajab Bangla (Museum), St. Francis Desales, Rail Museum, Semenary and more such places till Lourd Matha Mandir and ending point at Nagpur MTDC office. The Tour 2 will be the afternoon tour starting at 2:00 pm to 7:10 pm from Nagpur MTDC office and proceed ahead covering similar destinations as the other tour and to be ended at the same location of the pickup. The travelers will enjoy reminiscing the history of Nagpur by travelling through Nagpur Darshan City Tour.

Highlighting this initiative, Shri. Jaykumar Jitendrasinh Rawal, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra said, “We are very happy to announce the launch of our Nagpur City Tour in the city. All the destination spots in the Nagpur Darshan city tour are extremely beautiful and worth the visit. Nagpur is a major and third most populated city of the state of Maharashtra in India and is famous for its culture, cuisine and oranges. Along with the tourist destination of Nagpur we also intend to increase the tourist footfall all destinations around Nagpur like Bordharan, Bhodhalkasa, Ramtek etc.”

Smt. Swati Kale, General Manager of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation stated, “Nagpur is not only known as the city of oranges, it is a destination that can rightfully claim a place of pride after Mumbai and Pune; the largest city of Vidarbha. The aim of this initiative is to increase tourist footfalls in Nagpur. The Nagpur Darshan Tours will be covering main attractions of the city like Zero Mile, Ajab Bangla (Museum), St. Francis Desales, Rail Museum, Semenary and more such places. Apart from these destinations covered, the city is dotted with greenery and has many parks and gardens for leisure activities like Kasturchand Park, Biodiversity Park in Rajbhavan and many more”.
